	Old Doors @ Knowsley Art Glass Ltd offer a wide range of exterior and interior doors . The doors are a mixture of Doweled and Mortice and Tenon constructions. You will see as you browse this website we also supply all your glass needs, whether you choose from our extensive standard glass range or use our bespoke service.

Reproduction Exterior Doors

These door designs are available in most sizes with Mortice & Tenon joints.

Featuring door styles from the Victorian and Edwardian eras and the 1930’s.

This range of doors have been specially designed to compliment period properties.

Internal Doors

We stock internal doors constructed from Clear Pine, Pitch Pine and Oak.

All these doors have been constructed to the highest standards.

These doors are all Victorian style reproduction doors .

	Sterling Exterior Doors We also stock a wide range of exterior doors, constructed from hardwood. They all have Mortice and Tenon joints. Some of the doors in this range are Reproduction Victorian Style doors whereas some are more modern.


	Old Doors - trading as Knowsley Art Glass Ltd is a well established family run business, started in 1980. You will see from the information on this web site that as well as being decorative glass specialists, we also stock interior and exterior wooden doors. All of our work is manufactured to the highest standards, using traditional methods. We DO NOT use any types of acrylic colour or plastic films. Over the years, our comprehensive knowledge and expertise in the glass industry has led us to take a new direction. Whilst still providing all the services which we are known and respected for, we have decided to combine these services together with supplying doors to help restore the period features back into period properties.

		Other Glass Products and Information On Double Glazed Units We also stock a wide range of obscure and clear float glass, all of which may be cut to size and toughened and can also be made into double glazed units. All of our etched glass and standard stained glass maybe made into double glazed units. All our traditional leaded-lights may be encapsulated inside a double glazed unit making them triple glazed. Other services available are glass processing, for example glass shelves, holes drilled, safety mirror etc.

Glass Safety & U Values For Double Glazing

All glass supplied by Knowsley Art Glass Ltd can be toughened to comply with current safety laws, which outline the current regulations with regards to doors and door panels.

For further information regarding the use of safety glass you can visit www.planningportal.gov.uk and view approved Document N. This states the guidelines to glazing, and outlines where safety glass should be applied. From there, you can also view approved Document L which are the guidelines for the U Values regarding double glazing.

Information on U Values for double glazing are also available at www.pilkington.com/resources/werbulletin3.pdf. This may be able to give you a better understanding of the energy efficiency of double glazing.
